This is the first time I’ve been able to get photos
of Colin getting his Avastin treatment.
I always either forget the camera,
forget the batteries,
or forget to charge the batteries.
This time I had a nurse take the batteries from a TV remote.
Why?
Because I either left the battery charger at the Benefit Show…
…plugged into a wall
or
it fell out of my pocket at someones house after the show.
I digress.

This is Colin’s second round of Avastin.
The timer is set for 30 minutes now.
When he first started it was and hour and a half.
They do it slower in the beginning to make sure he doesn’t
react poorly.
He always absorbs it faster though.
(Avastin is the new trial drug that attacks blood vessels.
see previous posts.)
He had a break for about 6 weeks after the radiation.
He’ll go in every 2 weeks, on Mondays,
for about 2 months, then he’ll get another MRI.
Then, we’ll see what the next step is.

Unfortunately, they usually have to go through his hands.
His veins are…difficult.
Stay Positive. Do the Work.
