Constipation Elimination (3rd Attempt)

Friday, the day before Halloween,
Colin had success with the Magnesium Citrate.

However, the next day, the pain to did not subside.
2 hours after a meal, he was in tears again.

I was at work.
It was Saturday, Halloween night, when I called an expert.

A man who’s name is the final word when it come to all matters “full of crap.”

John Thomas Messick, III.

Dad

Eric: [while making pizzas at work] Dad. Got a problem…

Our father is a nurse, so he is credible.
But please, remember we are not doctors.
Talk to your own doctor.

Dad explained some important cause and effect.

Colin was blocked or obstructed.
The bowels job is to absorb liquid.

So, the bowel sits there and the colon sucks the moisture out,
leaving a dry hard mass.
It becomes like a cork, as I jokingly referred to it before.
That cork, stops everything else, which also gets sucked dry.
The cork grows.

The magnesium citrate unblocks but does not repair the collateral damage.
And that damage is that the blockage can cause inflammation of the bowel.
Induced diverticulitis…

I think I spelled that right with out spell check…damn. I did.

It makes sense.
Intestines are not designed for passing bricks.

Additionally, the chemicals still in his body are more than likely still causing constipation.

Dad let us know what they do in the hospitol for the elderly.
Mix 8oz of prune juice with a tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Warm it in a microwave.

Sounds disgusting, but the idea is keep your insides…lubed, I believe.
Plus, prune juice is a famous diuretic.

Colin refused this treatment.

Dad’s advice continued…

Small “peck and graze” meals.
No apples or bananas. (they make it worse.)

Hydrate!
Drink plenty of water.
Which may have prevented this to begin with.

Tylenol for pain.
Specifically, Tylenol. I didn’t ask why.

Colin, waited it out till Monday, following dad’s advice.

He decided that it was possible the first round of Magnesium Citrate was not enough.
He still “felt” backed up.

So, Monday he went for round two of citrate, the 3rd attempt to fix this.
He felt much better.

It was a good thing, I thought I was going to have to cancel his trip…
Oh yeah, haven’t told you about that yet…
