Alkalizing? Colin Pissed an 8.0

And then Eric and Colin bumped fists in the exam room.

Disclaimer: Colin is not a doctor. Neither, is Eric or Christine. What you read here is based on our research. What you read here is what we believe to be true. You must consult your own doctor before following anything Colin has chosen to do for himself with his own treatment. Do your own research. Make your own informed decisions. You are responsible for yourself.

I think that covers my ass.

There are some theories Colin is prescribing too:

1. You can control the acidity or alkalinity of your body by controlling your diet.
2. Cancer, and disease in general, like an acidic biological environment. They do not like an alkaline environment.

The math on this is fairly simple.

Some foods, once digested, have an acidifying effect on the body.
Some foods, once digested, have an alkalizing effect on the body.
All you need to know, is which foods do which.

Since, cancer, theoretically, likes an acidic enviroment, alkalizing the body is like irrigating farmland with salt water.
(supposedly they’ve been doing this is Africa. I didn’t research the statement before using it. Sue me.)

Anyways, by alkalizing the body we’re de-fertilizing the soil the tumor likes to grow in. Theoretically.

Now, your body does try to maintain a state of homeostasis, a balance.
In the case of pH (how acid is measured) its 7.35 to 7.45.

The scale goes from 0 to 14.
0 is most acidic.
14 is most alkaline.
7 is neutral.

So 7.4 is on the alkaline side.
If its below 7.35 you have acidosis.
Above 7.45 you alkadosis.
If it drops below 6.8, you can die.
If it rises above 7.8, you can die.

Many chemical reactions in the body are pH dependent.

The good news is, that when your cells use up oxygen and glucose for energy, the bi-product is acidic: lactic acid.
(not to be confused with lactating. your cells don’t give off breast milk)

The reason thats good, is it makes it harder to overdose on alkalizing food, since everything in your body is gear toward making acids. In theory.

Some argue that it doesn’t matter what you eat, your body with regulate your pH anyways, so it doesn’t matter.
And I thought about this. And I disagreed due to some simple logic:

1. If your body just fixed everything in spite of what you put into it, than why eat anything “good” for you? Why not smoke, while eating deep fried steak, chase it with a bottle of rum, and free-base for desert? Because, your body doesn’t fix everything.

2. How your body preforms functions is dependent on the the right chemicals being available: nutrients, minerals, proteins, fats, carbs, ect. If the chemicals aren’t there, or in low supply, the body will do what it can, but thats all it can do.

3. And your buffering system for your bodies pH is a regulatory system. It uses aforementioned “chemicals” to operate properly. And, like all systems, it can be overtaxed. It can be worn out. Just like your heart, lungs, and liver.

4. One worn out systems can wear out another system. See unintended consequences.

5. Why make your body work harder than it has to. You are only hurting yourself in the long run.

The doctors tested Colin’s urine before his 3rd Avastin infusion and a nurse sent a “special” message to his exam room, reporting the alkalinity of his pee. We had told her before what we were doing. Colin and Eric were like “yeah. we’re the shizzle.”

Urine doesn’t exactly give an accurate read on the bodies pH, since it’s waste, and by definition what your body did not want. 8.0 would kill him.

But, the waste was alkaline.
Which means the body is taking what it wants and needs and expelling what it doesn’t.
Which means we’re giving his body what it needs to stay on the alkaline end of the spectrum.
Which means we’re “salting his tumors earth”, so to speak. See agricultural warfare.

In theory.

    Eric,
This is excellent news indeed sir!!!! Please forgive my tardiness in getting back to you, my schedule has been a nightmare and I am just now finally getting the chance to catch up on some emails. The above news and commentary are fantastic and shows what I was telling you about in our telephone discussion. I would love to be the fly on the wall in the doctors offices…
Please keep me aprised of his progress. It sounds as though ground is being gained in this fight!!! Keep up the fantastic work you two, your efforts are obviously being blessed with wonderful results!
    Sincerely,
    Larry D. Skylar

  2. I heard through Stacy that you were a little busy.

There is some other news about this that will be posted this weekend. Admittedly, we did not document what he specifically has eaten everyday and do the testing after every meal. Life happens and the documentation went on the back burner. Additionally, he’s on so many different things that I was sure it would hold water. However, since the common question is “Can you actually control your body’s pH” we may do an experiment on me. Test me when I’m eating junk. Then test me when I’m eating well. That way we can answer that question at least. Thank you for your help.

    Stay positive. Do the work.

    Eric
